Learning Development & Care

The Early Years Foundation Stage is the guidance published by the Department for Education and Skills which sets the standards for learning, development and care from birth to five years.

At the Yellow Brick Nursery we work with children and families recognising at the heart of The Early Years Foundation Stage is the principle "Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self assured" DfES.

  • Every child has a key person.
  • We value highly working together with parents/carers. recognising the positive impact this has on a child's learning, development and care.
  • Adults work with children building real, authentic relationships and problem solving together.
  • Adults and children are supported to express their feelings, needs and views and to acknowledge those of others.
